As earth progressed, so did technology. Humans developed new and destructive means to rule the planet. In olden days, it was the elves that humans pushed into hiding, making them into myths and legends until humans forgot they existed. Later along the technological road, earth began warring fiercer than ever before in her history. Using weapons of mass destruction, the inhabitants of earth all but destroyed themselves. The survivors fled into the mountains, the caves, or deep into the forests.
Elves, which were in hiding still, emerged from the forests, taking it upon themselves to start the rebuilding. The fallout didn’t seem to affect more than a few of the elves. Those few pulled away from the others, going back into the woods. There they began to develop characteristics of two certain animals. Those in the south began taking on reptilian features. Those in the north would sprout fur and take on features of cats. The humans who fled to the mountains, after years of hiding and adaptation, ventured down to live among the elves. Those hid in caves remained virtually untouched, but those trying to live in the harsh mountains developed strong muscles, a taller frame, and greater endurance.
Earth, over time, was rebuilt. Years later, people lived as they should. They lived in homes that were modest and used trade or small coins to purchase their goods. They wore clothes of soft cloth made of cotton and shoes made of animal skins. Elves, humans, and all other races lived in relative harmony. People generally coexist…except for two brothers. In this society, there is crime, but none like the kind Kohl causes. Kohl and Garrett are brothers, but that’s where their similarities end. Kohl has been accused of multiple accounts of theft, assault, and other horrible things. The village has tried to punish him, but nothing works. Finally, when Kohl assaults one of Garrett’s friends, Garrett snaps. He confronts his brother and all Hell breaks loose. A verbal fight quickly turns violent and as his brother rushes at him, Garrett does the only thing he can. He throws his hands out, catching his brother in the throat and knocking him back. With a snap, Kohl lands on his shoulders and neck, breaking it.
As Kohl awakes, he finds himself in a hallway in the inner sanctum of hell’s palace. Making his way around a bend, he notices two lower level demons talking. Frightened but still curious, he listens in to their conversation. Hearing them talk of a key that could unlock the gates of Hell from Earth, Kohl immediately set off to try and find a way to escape. He did his best to avoid the demons, knowing he had avoided judgment. Along his way he made some allies and learned of the existence of the cave that Orpheus had used in his trek to the Underworld. Seeking it out and finding it, the demons he had allied with helped him open the block placed on it and escape back to Earth. He came back as something different, some form of higher demon. Now Kohl is searching the Earth for the key to hell. His brother, after denying it for awhile, began mounting a force against his brother. Meanwhile, to the south, another group has heard whisperings of the hell key and began to mount their own forces. Which group will prevail? Will you aid in the forces of the dark, the light, or the mysterious group to the south? What fate will fall upon this newly rebuilt Earth? You be the judge.
